What to Expect

Sightseeing starts with a visit to Ananda Temple (Architectural masterpiece) . Then, you will go on excursion to Mount Popa where you will hear the legends about Nats represent a heritage of earlier animist religions in Burmese countryside, which were synchronized with Buddhist religion in the 11th century. Enjoy a panoramic view from the top of Popa Taung Kalat. Mt Popa is a volcano 1518 metres (4981 feet) above sea level and it is an extinct volcano. It is also a national park and an oasis of central hot region of Myanmar. On the way, you can visit and study one of the several toddy and jaggery (Palm Sugar) operations. Lunch is at Popa Mountain Resort and dinner is at hotel.
