The next highlight is U Bein bridge - one of the most famous tourist attractions in Mandalay dating back at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Stretching through 1.2 km over the serene Taungthaman Lake for over 200 years, the world's longest teak-wood bridge has created a wonderful photo stop for photographers and drawn visitors from all over the world.

Then visit Bagaya Monastery, an ancient monastery built entirely by teak noted for a superb collection of Buddha statues.
After lunch at a local restaurant, travel by a short boat trip to the former Royal Capital of Inwa (also called Ava). Get on a horse-drawn carriage to explore the city's highlights. Head to Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the palace building name "the leaning tower of Ava".

Then we move to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, a fine example of the Burmese architecture from the time of Konbaung dynasty in the 19th century built of brick and stucco.
