Yangon-Hpa An-Mawlamyine-Ye-Yangon Urban Tour

Over View

Package is  Yangon-Hpa An-Mawlamyine-Ye-Yangon urban tour trip according to customer’s  interests. There are many Kayin villages, country sites near Hpa An, Mon villages near Mawlamyine and Ye. First 2 nights 3 days will be around Hpa An, visiting natural caves, country site villages , climbing Mt Zwe Ga bin. Then 2 nights 2 days visit in Mawlamyine , including Kyauk Than lan Pogada and climbing Nwa-La-Bo Pagoda. On the way to Ye, visit Thanbyuzayat dead rail museum and war cemetery. Then the last 3 nights 2 days will be in Ye, visiting Mon style villages such as Kyaing Ywar, Han Gan,  DuYar, beachs and visit Ko Yin Lay monestry. On the last day, we shall go back all the way to Yangon. A private car will be used along the trip.

Tour Itenery

Day 1   :   Yangon–Hpa An

After breakfast at hotel, pick up will be at approx: 7 am and then drive to Hpa An (approx: 7hrs drive): the capital of Kayin state, friendly town on the bank of Than Lwin river. On the way we will take lunch at Sein Le Tin resort near Kyaik Hto , study Seik Phyu Taung Youth Development Center and then proceed to Hpa An. After 1:30 hr drive, stop and visit Kaw Gun Cave. It is located near Kaw Gun village. So you can study village style and their daily life. It is a natural lime stone cave and dating back to 15th century A.D, Hanthawaddy period. Then proceed to Te La khu village for a home stay. Alternative 1 :   If we have time, we can visit Ya Thae Pyan and Bayin Nyi Cave (famous for  hot spring and very clear water pool) on the way of Ta Htone to Hpa An. You can study Buddha Images in a 207 meter cave. Alternative 2 :  If we have time, we can visit Shwe Yin Hmyaw pagoda and see sun setting.

Day 2    :   Hpa An and Its Surroundings

Having breakfast together with villagers. Visit Kawkathaung cave and Kantharyar lake. Then check in at the Thiri Hpa An hotel. Visit and study Mon Sa Ree village, the diamond of a village in Karen state. The village is stated by a young man who was kicked out from a Bible school. The village is located at the foot of Mt Zwegabin. Over night at hotel.

Day 3   :   HpaAn - Mawlamyine

Early morning, round about 4:30 am, depart from hotel with breakfast box to climb Mt Zwegabin. We will have breakfast on the way or on the top . Breakfast must be vegetarian according to local custom. It will take 3 hr to get top of the mountain which has a very unsual shape, which once seen it is not easily forgotten. We can see fantastic views all over the Kayin country-side. You can also see mokeys.  We will use separate way to climb up and go down the mountain. Having lunch at available restaurant. Later on we will visit the most beautiful cave: Saddar cave. We will walk through the entire length of the cave. Especially in the cave stalagmites and stalactites are incredibly beautiful and we can take a wooden paddle boat to go back to the car park enjoy in the lake view. Then  we`ll proceed  ½ hr drive to Kawhnat – Kadoe villages to see antique shrines and monuments over a century old built by U Nar Auk. Then we`ll go to  Mawlamyine. Check in at Shwe Bon Nan Hotel and dine at the Hotel. Remark :  There is Lumbani garden at the base of the mountain.

Day 4   :   Mawlamyineand its Surrounding 

After breakfast at hotel, visit Bi Lu Kyun (Ogre Island) Which produces various handicrafts and household items, known well for cottage industries. It`s Located west of Mawlamyine and lunch at Ywalut and going back Mawlamyine by local boat passing Than Lwin river. Then visiting the pagodas on the Mawlamyine hill including Kyaukthanlan pogada for sunset view. Dinner will be at the hotel. Alternative :You can also climb Nwa La Bo Pagoda instead of  visiting  Bi Lu Kyun (Ogre Island ).

Day 5   :   Mawlamyine– Ye

After breakfast, prepare to go Ye. Along the road, visit Win Sein Taw Ya which is The world’s largest reclining Buddha, Thanbyuzayat Death Railway Museum and war cemetery. Lunch may be at an available restaurant in Thanbyuzayat. Check in at Shwetaunggyar Hotel and have dinner.

Day 6   :   Ye and its surroundings

After breakfast at the hotel , visit Ye local market, Asin village and  Zee Phyu Thaung  located at the  mouth of  Ye River. Which are fast developing fishing village. visit Damin Seik  village and lunch may be at the beach restaurant. Then go back Ye and proceeding to Kyaung Ywar by boat along the Ye river. The journey is scenic enough, enjoy swimming in the Ye river and you can go ahead upriver ( Local people say ChaungHnitKhwa) .  This is the highlight of this package.  Dinner and overnight at Ye. Alternative : You can also visit Ka Byar Wa beach which is a 30 minute drive. Which is a brand new beach in Mon State. Lunch at the beach.

Day 7   :   Ye and its surroundings

After breakfast at the village, visit Ko Yin Lay shrines. Visit and studying Mon national school in Mon style villages such as Hangan and Duyar around Ye. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8   :   Ye –Yangon

After breakfast at the hotel, go back to Yangon . Lunch at Mawlamyine on the way. 9 hours` drive to Yangon.

Secondly visit to Mingun Bell. It’s a bell located in Mingun. It was the heaviest functioning bell in the world at several times in history.

Then, visit to Marvel at the all-white, dedicated to Princess Hsinbyume, the White Elephant Princess. What to Expect

Nam Pan Village is located in the south of Ywama village. The whole village is situated on the stilts over the water, which is a traditional way of building houses in Inle Lake. Everyone has at least one boat parked under their home. The water is also surprisingly clear.
You can study  the floating villages life, floating gardens, factories of hand-made cheroot , a local cigar in the village and many famous pagoda.
In Dein, occasionally referred to as the 'Shan Bagan', is a huge collection of partly restored and partly ruined stupas begun in the 12th century and added to by Shan princes up until the 18th century.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 :  Nyaung Shwe - Inle sightseeing - Nan Pan ( L,D)
At about 08:00 after breakfast, we will visit Inle Lake. Sightseeing highlights are Phaung daw Oo Pagoda, Nge Phae Chaung, Floating Garden, Floating Market (Ywa Ma), Hand Weaving (Tha Lay and Inn Paw Khone) and Alodaw Pauk Pagoda. You will have a chance to visit the floating gardens, a teeming market and an Intha village around the lake and then over night at Nan Pan floating Lodge.
Day 2 :  Nan Pan- Indein - Mine Thauk-  Nyaung Shwe (L)
At about 08:00 after breakfast, we will visit to Indein with an interesting 8 km boat trip along beautiful Indein river, a long narrow canal. Indein is most famous for its crumbling and atmospheric groups of ancient pagodas. Highlight for Indein is Shwe Inn Thein Paya, is a complex of 1054 weather-beaten zedi (stupas). Then lunch and visit to Mine Thauk. Enjoy experience of walking on Romantic wooden bridge and  to get fresh air. Then return to Nyaung Shwe Jetty.
