Ko Htet Gyi Pagoda is located on Bargayar Road. Sanchaung Township. The name Ko Htet Gyi is a burmese dialect, it means the nine stories pagoda. The name was given because nine bamboos tierd vertically from the ground to top to make scaffolding when the pagoda was built. The pagoda is another enormous sitting Buddha Image in Yangon. There is a large, quiet and peaceful place to meditate and pray around the Buddha image. The place behind the pagoda is quite large and there are many fortune tellers and shops in the compound. Most of the people passed by the pagoda because of traffic and no packing place on Bargayar road . Another way to the pagoda is from Baho Road and you can get to a large car parking.

ကိုးထပ်ကြီးဘုရား

ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာဝင်တို့ အတွက် ရန်ကုန်မြိုတွင်းရှိ ဘုရားရှိခိုး တရားထိုင်ရန် နေရာကောင်း ဘုရားတစ်ဆူကို ပြောပြပေးချင်ပါသည်။ ကိုးထပ်ကြီးဘုရားသည် စမ်းချောင်းမြို့နယ်၊ ဗာကရာ လမ်းပေါ်တွင်တည်ရှိပါသည်။ ဘုရားတည်ဆောက်စဉ် ငြမ်းစင်ရာတွင် ဝါးလုံး ကိုးလုံးကို အပေါ်အောက် ထပ်ဆင့်၍ တပ်ဆင်ခဲ့ရသဖြင့်ကိုးထပ်ကြီးဘုရား ဟုခေါ်ဆိုခြင်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ရန်ကုန်မြို့တွင် ထင်ရှားကြီးမားသော ထိုင်တော်မူ ရုပ်ပွားတော် တစ်ဆူဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ရုပ်ပွားတော် ပတ်လည်တွင် ကျွန်းပါကေးများ ခင်းထားသည့် ကျယ်ပြန်သော နေရာ ရှိပြီ တရားထိုင်ရန်၊ ဘုရားရှစ်ခိုးပူဇော်ရန် အလွန်ကောင်းမွန်ပါသည်။ ဘုရား၏နောက်ဘက်တွင် ကျယ်ဝန်းသော ကားပါကင် ၊ အခြား သာသနာ အဆောက်အဦ များ ၊ ဆိုင်ခန်းများ နှင့် ဗေဒင်ဟောသော ဆိုင်ခန်းများ ရှိပါသည်။ ဘုရား၏ မျက်နှာစာ ဗာကရာ လမ်းပေါ်တွင် ကားရပ်ရန် နေရာအခက်အခဲ နှင့် လမ်းကျဉ်းမှုကြောင့် ကပ်ကျော်သွား ကြသည်ကများပါသည်။ ဗဟိုလမ်းဘက်မှ ဝင်မည်ဆိုပါက ဘုရားအနောက်ဘက် ဝင်းသို့ တိုက်ရိုက်ရောက်နိုင်ပြီး ပိုမို အဆင်ပြေပါသည်။
